American crime drama telenovela produced by Telemundo Global Studios and Argos Comunicación for Telemundo. During the first season, the Colombian television station, Caracol Televisión, also participated in the production.

It was distributed internationally by Telemundo Internacional together with NBC Universal International Distribution. It is written by Luis Zelkowicz and Mariano Calasso, based on an original idea by Andrés López. The series narrates the adventures and crimes committed by the Mexican Amado Carrillo, whose name was changed to Aurelio Casillas in the soap opera.

Starring Rafael Amaya, accompanied by Fernanda Castillo, Carmen Villalobos, Maritza Rodríguez, Marlene Favela, Gabriel Porras, Ximena Herrera, Raúl Méndez, Carmen Aub, Sabrina Seara, Marisela González, Alejandro López, Lisa Owen, Jesús More, Isabella Castillo and Matías Novoa. It also has the antagonistic participations of Róbinson Díaz, Miguel Varoni, Mauricio Ochmann (replaced by Alberto Guerra), Tommy Vásquez, Leonardo Daniel, Sebastián Caicedo, Sara Corrales, Emmanuel Esparza, Mariana Seoane, Francisco Gattorno, Roberto Escobar and Eduardo Santamarina. It features special performances by Carlos Bardem, Guy Ecker, Ninel Conde, Vanessa Villela and María Conchita Alonso, among others.

María Conchita plays the prosecutor Nora Requena whose objective is to extradite the Lord of the Skies.
